Is Laser Hair Removal Permanent or Not?

Is laser hair removal permanent? You may have asked this question a lot to yourself, but the truth is, this question remains to be debatable as of the moment.  The truth is, laser hair removal indeed works wonders by eliminating unwanted hair growth in your face and in the different parts of the body.  To have a smooth and hairless skin – this has always been a fundamental state of mind of people (particularly, women) when it comes to the discussion of beauty and cleanliness.  After all, a smooth fully shaved chin is referred to as “clean shaved” – this description indeed says a lot.

While laser hair removal procedure or the laser technology itself has been claimed by FDA as a permanent procedure of hair growth reduction, there are still special instances in which laser hair removal procedures do not work as desirable as it is expected from them.  There are many factors why this is it so.  For one thing, the skin type variation is probably the most crucial factor in the success of a laser hair procedure.  Laser technology is deemed perfect for those skin types that are lighter and whiter with fine hairs.  Normally, skin care specialists and dermatologists will not recommend laser hair removal procedure to dark skinned people with dark courser hairs and recommend electrolysis instead.  But with good and appropriate supervision of the laser treatment and frequency of sessions, there will always occur subtle changes in terms of the reduction of hair.

Another important factor that is important to take into consideration is the hormonal imbalance.  While excessive facial or body hair growth is taken to be a dominant male characteristic, this may also occur in a few number of women.  Women who have a rare condition of excessive facial or body hair growth are those women who are likely to have male hormones than what is expected from them (all women have male hormones, too).  And so the question, “Does laser permanent hair removal work or not?” is also dependent on this.  Women who have hormonal imbalance are not likely to get the sought-after results in as much as though women who don’t suffer from hormonal imbalance.

Whether or not the laser hair removal procedure is clearly permanent or not, it all boils down to the fact that laser hair removal is the most effective way to remove unwarranted hair from the face and in other selected parts of the body.  There is a permanent reduction of hair growth indeed and in the long run, with prescribed number sessions and appropriate laser treatments, it is not impossible to achieve that desirable smooth and flawless skin.  This in turn will boost up your confidence and self-esteemed, and you never have to feel embarrassed again.
